Rosalind Page began playing the violin at the age of 12. Teachers included Ernest Element and John Bradbury at the Birmingham Conservatoire. Rosalind then continued her studies with Yfrah Neaman.
She developed an early interest in chamber music and has given many recitals throughout her career in the duo, trio and quartet mediums. As a freelance violinist, Rosalind is a principal player and has appeared as soloist with Orchestra da Camera. She is a member of the Voces Intimae Quartet and plays regularly with Viva, Orchestra of the Swan and many orchestras throughout the country.
For the past eight years Rosalind has been Artistic Director of Orchestra da Camera which has a busy concert schedule, both as a recital orchestra and in an accompanying role with many distinguished choirs in England. The orchestra celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2007.
In 2006 Rosalind established a link with Orchestra da Camera and the Northamptonshire Composers Association. The alliance involves players from the orchestra working with composers and giving first performances of their music. Rosalind appeared as soloist in concerts during 2006.
Rosalind has a deep interest in teaching and combines a busy playing career with the role of Head of Strings for the Performing Arts Service in Coventry, an appointment that she shares with her husband Gary, a freelance viola player. Together, they have initiated a highly successful violin and viola project in Coventry in which large numbers of primary school children have been inspired to begin learning these instruments. The project is still flourishing and has been widened to include the cello and double bass.
Rosalind has recently joined the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music both as a Diploma Examiner and as a member of the Professional Development Mentor Panel.
Rosalind plays on a Jean Baptiste Vuillaume dated 1855 which is a copy of the Paganini Joseph Guarnerius.
